A DEVONIAN SOCIETY.
(To the K:lttor.) Sir, —It was with great interest I read Plymouthian's letter in to-night's "Star." 1 thirtk it would be a grand idea to form a Devonian Club in Auckland. 1 can claim to be a fellow-countryman, as I hail from Torquay. Trusting others from good old Devon will unite and back up "Plymouthian.' 7 —l am, etc., TORQUINTAN. CCto the Editor.) Sir,—l notice in Friday's issue of the " Star " an article referring to the above. Being a Devon man, the suggested society certainly appeals to -mc, as I've no doubt it has done to others. I shall esteem it a favour if " Plymouthian" will forward -his address to "' Rona," Ver-mont-street, Ponsonby with a view of us exchanging ideas and, if possible, providing such society.—Thanking you in anticipation, I am, etc., P. GREGORY.
