(Received 5.55 a.m.) SYDN"EY, this day. Mr. Carmiehacl (State Treasurer) announced to-day that one-third of the States' total indebtedness was held locally. The local sale of stock keeps up to an unusual degree, and probably there will be no need to trouble the London market during the present financial year. There p.re also many applications from other States.
