A strong article by Mr John Kedmond, M.P., has been published, in which it i 3 . contended that Home Rule will create [feelings of loyalty i n Ireland, as the granting of self-government did in Australia, Canada, and South Africa. The Nationalist leader points out that if fears similar to those entertained about Irish disloyalty had been allowed to prevail against the concession of self-govern-ment to the oversea dominions mentioned, all those countries would have been independent republics like the American colonies.
