In Wellington the citizens are entering with gusto into arrangements for a monster procession on Coronation Day, no doubt imbued with the. idea that the currency of their exhibition there at the time casts on them the. onus of doinf something -big to celebrate the occasion. The customary military ceremony will be held, including a Royal Salute, the march past, and spoechcs by the Governor, the Acting-Prime Minister, and the Mayor. It is in the parade that tho citizens will come in, and provision has been made for the following organisations to be represented.-—Navy League, Boy Scouts, Tramways Benefit Society, Hibernian Society, British Cnited Oddfellows, Ancient order of Foresters, Independent Order of Oddfellows, Sons and Daughters of Temperance, Manchester Unity Oddfellows, Independent Order of Rechabites, United Ancient Order of Druids, Orange Society, Independent Order of Good Templars, Hockey Association, Rugby Union. Football Association, and Lacrosse Association. The bands will be, disposed by the marshal, and the Salvation Army will follow their band. The following notice of motion has been submitted by Mr A. J. Tapper for consideration at tho next meeting of the Devonport Borough Council:—''That an expert road engineer be appointed by the Council to submit a report on tho main roads in the borough, and the probable cost of kerbing and channelling such roads and formation of samt in accordance with the permanent levels." Bishop Crossley will visit Papakura on Wednesday next, and will deliver an address in Christ Church at 3 p.m., and be entertained at a complimentary dinner in the evening. The Newton Brass Band, under Conductor W. Seymour, will play a progrrjanie of music on Mount Eden Sunday afternoon. The first recital on the new organ in the Pitt-street Methodist Church will be given on Monday evening by Mr. Harold Oregson, organist of St. Paul's Church, who will render a programme comprising some of tbe finest compositions for the "Kin<? of instruments."
