- BUILDINGS AND BRICKS. (Received 0.15 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The manager of the State brickworks states that he hopes to be able to bring the price of bricks down to 17. 6 per 1000. Tbe present pric? at the kilns is 38/. The Minister of Works proposes to establish a thoroughly equipped Government building yard, but is finding it difficult to secure a suitable manager at the salary offered—£looo per annum. He approached a number of leading builders, who stated that they were makin" £3000 or £4000 per annum.
