» (By* Telegraph.—Own CoTTespori<"en.t.) WHANGAEEI, Thursday. Mr. R. Hazleton, one of the Irish Home Rule envoys, arriTed in Whangarei late last night, having travelled overland from Dargaville. Messr3. X. McClintock, D. P. Fitzgibbon, R. Y. Kernohan, J. McKinnon and others of the committee met the envoy with a hearty welcome. Mr. Hazleton spoke to-nieht in the Theatre Royal, when Mr. F. Mander, M.P.. presided. The appeal for funds to help the cause has met with hearty support in Whangarei; over £00 wrs subscribed prior to the meeting to-night, and that sum has now | been very considerably increased, j
