NO MORE PRESIDENTIAL j FIGHTS. NEW YORK, June 2. ' Responding to tho toast of his health at a banquet held in his honour in St. Paul, Minnesota, last night, Mr. W. J. Bryan declared that he would never again be a candidate for the Presidency, as li 3 felt that he could lie a greater service in the ranks of the Democrats. "Besides." he added, "there is plenty of good material from which to choose the Presidential timber."' Mr. Bryan, who is said to be the greatest living stump-orator, thrice contested the Presidency as the Democratic candidate, but never managed to top the poll. He entered Congress when he had just reached 30, and he is now in his 50th year.
