THE PEACE TREATY.
■_ffiE_BW_ AT CHORAL BAJJ, TO NIGHT. I A public meeting of citizens- in sympathy with the proposed AngloAmerican arbitration treaty, will be held in the Clioral JJail this, evening at 8 o'clock. His Worship the-Mayor (Mr. C. i J. Parr) will preside, and addresses will be given by Archdeacon Calder, Mr. W. A.J Pri_iitt, American Consul; Mr T. Walsh, representative of the Socialist party; Mr. Arthur Myers, M.P.; Mr. C. H. Poole. M.P., Rev. J. M. Simpson, B.A-; Mr. M. A—lis, and the Rev. Knowles Kempton. The Rev. E. Cbitty wll preside at the organ. The meeting has been convened at 'the request of the Rev. G. Bond, president of the Ministers' Association, and Mr. J. E. Taylor, president of the Peace Society. After, speeches have been made as above indicated, resolutions will be brought forward, endorsing the proposal in favour of a peace treaty between the two great countries. . This meeting is in accord with a world-wide movement initiated by the churches in association with peace societies.
