Trouble has arisen between the architect and the builder of the nurses' home extension at tho Auckland hospital. The contractor (Mr. R, Orr), through his solicitors, has written to the Board asking for arbitration in the matter. He had applied for a progress payment, he said, of £1000, and instead of receiving a certificate from the architect (Mr, G, W. Allsopp) ho got letters stating that the window sashes and other work had been condemned and calling on him to dismiss two employees.
