At the monthly meeting of the General Committee of the Young Women's Christian Association, It wae resolved that the annual business meeting on July 20th would be preceded by a gathering for tea at the Association's rooms, when members eonld have the opportunity for a round table discussion on the plans and methods for the coming year. The pnblle meeting will be held in the Choral Hall early In Angus t, and it was resolved to ask the co-operation of the Guild ot Helpers and other Y.W.c.A clubs to arrange a 'programme fllnstrstire of the ■work of the Y.W.C.A. The secretary's report showed tnat the classes in millinery and dressmaking' had been opened In the middle of May, tinder Mien Atlrtn and Mfca HeaUteringtoo respectively. The committee of the Guild of Hrtperg bad been organised and consisted of Mrs A. J. Campbell, Mrs Geddee, Mrs Dettmann, Misses Kent, Knight, Maeky, Gummer, Fry, IxMher, Smeeton, Parker, Harbott, Ferry, Bnddle, and Parry. The dub for gjrle under 20 had had a very good opening on May 19, and with its classes in btomemaking, fancy work, chip carving, singing, and elocution, promised to meet a real need In the adolescent period of a girl's life, and help its members to prepare Id those years for the duties and responsibility* of womilhood.
