Hitherto it has been necessary to hold a meeting of ratepayers to consider the proposals. Under the amendment to the municipal law passed last year, this course has been done away with, and all that is now necessary is to advertise the loan proposals for four weeks, and at the end of that time take -a poll. This will be done during the -first or second week dn July next.
