In the House of Assembly Mr. Holman confirmed the proposal of the Government to take over Government House and transform it into a National Library and Museum, and the grounds into a public park. He added that' as a result of negotiations ij had been decided to offer the Federal Government the use of the building for a few months longer, certainly not beyond the end of the present year. x.nnmtrM's record break. The number of horses in New South Wales at the end of the past year was 650,504, an increase ■of 45,720; cattle, 3,132.228, an increase of 104,500; sheep, 45,825,000, a decrease of 377,270; pigs, 321,547, an increase of 83,695. The agricultural statistics show the State's total wheat yield to be 28,604,847 bushels, the average being 13.2 per acre. The shortage in lambs accounted for the decrease in sheep, older sheep showing an increase of over 131 J OOO.
