GREY LYNN SANITARY SERVICE.
"Sanitas" considers that a majority of Councillors manifest a disposition to deal too leniently with irregularities in the night soil service. He says:—"l contend that when the public health 13 endangered, it is not a time to quibble and invent excuses. We in Richmond are only too well aware of the effluvia which emanatps from Cox's Creek, and do not desire the odour to be still further enhanced by the wholesale addition of nightsoil. I notice there, are but two councillors who seem disposed to speak out, and I ask why is this, and why should there be such anxiety to minimise wliich imperil the public health?"
