HOUSES SWEPT AWAY. (Received 10 a.m.) BRISBANE, this day. During Saturday the flood waters at Cairns covered a large part of the town»lip, and boats were plying in the streets, While the Esplanade was badly damaged. hi. the Kamerunga district houses were swept away. At Kuranda 25 inches of rain fell during 24 hours ending Saturday. Railway traffic is suspended in the flooded districts. The rain has ceased and the outlook is now brighter.
