WAR OFFICE BACKS DOWN.
(Received 2.50 p.nv) . LONDON, April 2, The War Office recently ordered a new gold and crimson waist sash for infantry officers, costing f 5 to £6 a-piece. "A Parliamentary agitation resulted in the cancellation of the order, saying officers £30,000 sterling.
