CUSTOMS AND EXCISE REVENUE
MELBOURNE, April 2. Hie Customs and excise duty for the last nine months amounts to £9356,463, an increase of £1,100,900 over the same period of the previous year. If the increase continues in the same ratio, the Customs collected at thi end of the year ■mil reach a total of over £13,000,000, ■which is far in advance of any previous records. The increase fox March alone was £190.000. Mr. Fisn<T (Prime Mix-Je-ter), in his Budget speech in October, estimated the increase for tbs year as enljr 4180,009,
