Speaking a* the opening of the Albany Show on Saturday, Mr. L. R. Phillipps, M.P.. after reading apologies from the Premier (Hon. Sir Joseph Ward) and the Minister for Agriculture (Hon. T. Mackenzie), referred to the fact of the Premier leaving to attend the Imperial Conference, and spoke of the importance of the work of the coming Conference. He stated that while many might differ with the Premier in connection with, domestic politice, there was no party politics on matters of Imperial interest, and Sir Joseph Ward would leave representing New Zealand with the full confidence of all parties throughout the Dominion.
