LIEUT. WALKER.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Defence Department have received advice that Mr. Henry John Innes Walker, of Auckland, has successfully passed his exanitnauon, and been appointed Second Lieutenant of the Warwick Begimen,t [Lieutenant Walker is a son of Mr. H. C. H. Walker, of the firm of A. Clark and Sons. He. received his instruction at King's College under Mr. C. T. Major. He has taken a prominent part in local athletics, and figured to some' puropse, fit the Rugbyv football „cMI , He lias alM> won several important events at the Amateur Athletic Association ■ meetings.]
