Mr. J. T. Stevenson advises:— The present indications are for unsettled weather, and heavy showers, with intervals of sunshine. While working a fleshing machine at Warnock Bros.' tannery, Bichmond, tins morning, a young man named R. Donald had his arm caught in the machine, witn the result that the limb was bad J mangled. Donald was removed to tnhospital, where the arm was amputated just above the elbow. The patient » suffering from shock, but otherwise ■ progressing favourably.
