' ZEEHAN CONSOLIDATED. The following telegram wae posted on the Exchange after 4 p.m. yesterday:— "Obtained good dabs of gold from reef north face. Important developments." Scotia,—The stoping Iβ proceeding with two men on the No. 1 reef, and the ore coming to hand is averaging two pounds one shilling at the Up o£ the box. Rielng Sun. —The tunnel is along lire feet. The country is wfcite blocky sandstone, and is good shooting ground, all requiring timbering. Tairua Broken Hills. —Night reef: Driving north on the Night reef and rising to connect with the winze south of th* erosecut have been in progress. Eighteen feet have been risen to date. The reef is opening out slightly, and shows an improvement in the dish prospects. The west crosscut now measures thirty-two feet from the shaft, seven, feet having been driven for the week. The Chamber reef has been cut through, and proves to be about nine feet in width. The quartz is of a kindly appearance. Kiipowai.—No. 2 level west nas been cleaned up, and a start made to sink. The prospects are very encouraging, and strong colours are seen in the stove every day. ■May groeen Extended (Good Hope).—ln the main drive the quartz has been taken down, showing coarse bloCvdtee of gold, and dose to the end a few pieces of picked etone were obtained. The reef in the face is six inches wide, and has rttg appearance of opening oat. In the stapes said is frequently seen In the etone broken. Tne neef averages one foot throughout the stopes. Tne country Is of a good description, but is rather difficult to bore, being interlaced with small stringers and flinties. Victoria.—The prospecting croseent at Nα 2 level is in good mineralised country. Several strinjrers of quartz have been met with. The total distance driven fc 55 feet. At the intermediate level no values have been met with yet. No work has been done at iNo. 4 level, owing to the gas being to within a few feet of No. 3 leveL
