EX-MINISTER DEAD.
LONDON, November 29. The death has occurred of the Hon. Richard Oliver, ex-M.L.C. of New Zealand, in his 80th year. Hon. Richard Oliver was born in Penzance in 1830, and emigrated to New Zealand many years ago. He' represented Dunedin City in the House of Representatives from 1878-81, was Minister of Public Works in the Hall Ministry from 1879-81, and PostmaSter-General in the Atkinson Ministry in 1884. He was called to the Legislative Council in 1881.
