THE KNOX BEQUEST.

Sir,—The " cause that lacks assistance" is the cause of the aged arid suffering, and "the wrong that needs assistance" is the delay in applying a large sum. of money—said to be £40,000—left by the late Mrs. Knox to its intended purpose, the founding of a home for the aged add suffering. Can you, sir, tell mc, what is the cause of this delay?—l am, etc., SENHX-. ' [We are informed that the provisions of the will provided for the residue of the estate being devoted to a Home for Incurables. The residue cannot be finally arrived at until the administration of the estate is complete, a position which Will shortly be reached.—Ed.]
