In consequence of the Commonwealth •fusing to participate in the Festival of Bnpire, Lord Plymouth is approaching _c Ag—its-General with a view to the jjjjons States utilising the offer of large free space, the utmost cost being £20,000, jo carer lighting. Lord Plymouth, desiring that Australia gtone of tie Dominions should not be represented, will become personally rejponsible for £7000 sterling towards the Met of the erection of a copy of the Commonwealth Parliament House.
