XEW CONTRACTS. For the erection of Messrs. A. and T. Bart's new three-storey warehouse and machine-shops in Customs-street West, the following twelve tenders have been received , by Mr. E. Bartley, architect:— Johns and Sons, £5575; liyfc and Sons, £5505; W. G. Smith, £5450; G. Braithwaite, £5225; J. Webster, £5144; J. J. Holland, £5088; G. Rhodes and Sons, £4949; R. MeOallum, £4890; E. Morris, £4650; Grevatt and Sons, £4577; W. E. Hutchison, £4439; J. E. White, £4152. No tender has yet been accepted. Of the eight tenders ror the erection of additions to the Children's Home, Richmond-road, Grey Lynn, that of Mr. J. Webster (£2274) has been accepted. The addition consists for the most part of dormitories, and will be two-sto-ried, accommodating 46 beds. The following are the tenders:—W, Ball, £2530; Kamon and Son, £2497; Franknam, £2474; Trevarthen. £2460; S. I. Clarke, £2460; W. Sands, £2425; Calvert, £2398; J. Webeter (accepted), £2274. The architect is Mr. A. G. Daw.
