PONSONBY V. NORTH SHORE.

North Snore and Poasonby met at Victoria Park. The former side won the toss, and sent Ponsonby in to bat. Woods and Snedden opened the innings, against the bowling of Hadden and Howilen. Kuiis came quickly, ami VM were registered after two hours' play, five wickets being then down. Sueddeii played a strong innings, and had the honour of making one of the first centuries in senior cricket this season. To complete his century, he hit Hadden nicely to the boundary, but in the game over he was caugiii. Ills score included fifteen fours. The innings finally closed at 5.30 p.m. for 224. Uowden was the most successful bowler, taking five wickets for 60 runs. Farciuharsou aud Prime opened for North Shore, and off tne first ball bowled the former was caught at mid-oIT by Smdden, oil Woods.
