PREFERENTIAL TARIFFS.
EEPOET FOR THE CONFERENCE LONDON, November 12. A report, based on ( the experience of leading business men, regarding the working of the preferential tariffs framed by the different overseas dominions in favour of the Mother Country, is being; prepared by the Tariff Commission, :it the instance of Mr. Joseph Chamberlain, in view of the Imperial Conference which is to be held next year. The report will also show the lines on which it is considered that Imperial trade can best be developed by means cf reciprocity.
