LAND TAX BILL.
MELBOURNE, October 12. In the Federal House of Representatives, on the third reading of the Land Tax Bill, an attempt was made to recommit, to provide a separate assessment for land sold before the end of the year. Mr Deakin said the principles of equity would not ever creep into the bill.
