City match was again before the Auckland Rugby Union last night. Walker, the City player who was kicked, gave evidence that he was lying on the ground when the incident occurred, thus supporting the referee's .statement. Mr Ohlson said that, the case was on nil fours witlv other cases dealt with by the Union, and they had set out to clean up the game. He moved. "That the player be suspended till the end of the season." Mr Tilley seconded.

Mr Stichbury asked what was the reason of the change of front of several of the committee. They were silent.

Mr Froude asked whether it. referred to ■him. His attitude last week was purely on account of the condiet of evidence. Since hearing the statement of Walker, he was satisfied of the guilt of tlie player. ISclli Mr Tiliey and Mr Langsford repudiated any change of front. They were mlsrepoTted last week, and did not at any time endeavour to belittle tlie nffom-e.

Mr Murray said he had no -OD'bt in his Tnltlri of the player's guilt, but he was doubtful if the punishment was sufficient. At any rate, lie preferred to err ou the side of leniency.

Sir Ohlson and the Chairman pointed out that it meant debarring the player from representative mat eh rs.

Mr Stirbbury said he would risk being accused of parochialism. He would move "That th" player be suspended for a luonth." This lapsed for the want of n seconder, and the motion was then put and eartipd, Mr SHehbury being the only dissentient.
