New Waitaia.—Stoping south of the rise -at intermediate level, the reef is 4ft to 6ft wide, and producing fair.grade ore. Driving north the reef has an inclination to wards its correct course, and should gat into a better class of country. The low ! level is in 677 ft. Handsworth United.—ln the two stopes going north the lead is a fair size, ana looks well. In the Otama low level the prospects have been good during tbe week a few pounds of good picked stone comin; to hand, the general dirt also being rich T>hi= is a totally new block, intact to tin surface, a-nd should improve; an importan ■fa-tor, when a connection is made withe Handsworth workings to permit stopin; operations being carried out.
