CAN T T___BURY'S NEEDS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) this.day. The Hospital. Board yesterday decided to communicate with Other boards concerning the advisability of appealing to Parliament to grant Hospital Boards power to borrow on the security of contributions orrates. It was also decided to take steps to convene a conference of boards for the co_sideration of the whole question of the administration of Charitable Aid. - During- the discussion on the question of building extensioa, Mr. Tanner (chairman of the Hospital Committee) submitted the f'/.lowing li3t of the Board's future requirements:—■ New consumption sanatorium, £ 20,000; conversion of present sanatorium into a Consumptives' Home in connection with the main Hospital, £3,000; expenditure reserve for Infectious Diseases Hospital, £1,000; annual cost of district nursing, £1,000; four cottage hospitals in various localities, £5,000; administrative buildings, £5,000; nurses' home, £700; new, ward, £1,400; total, £56,000. -
