The dead 'bodies of an old Indian man and his wife were discovered a short distance off the Rewa-road, at Nasinu, Fiji, lately. The old couple lived a lonely life, and had not 'been seen since June 19. Their son, a travelling jeweller, called at their place on Saturday week last and found the old couple dead. The father lay naked outside the bouse, and the mother was on her bed. Both had been hacked about with a tomahawk, and death had evidently taken place some ten days before. A string of sovereigns was missing from the old man's neck, as also were some clothing and jewellery belonging to the woman.
Mr. Claude B. Tudehope, son of Mr. R. Tudehope, has passed with distinction his examinations at Edinburgh University, and is now entitled to use the letters HJB., Ch.B.
