ALLEGED SLY-GBOG SELLING. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. As a sequel to the police raid made on Wednesday night, Cecilia Burke a married woman, and John Foley were charged at the Police Court to-day witU keeping liquor for sale. The charge ivai made under Section 14G of the Act,"therein the onus is upon defendants to show that the liquor is not kept for the purpose of sale. Serjeant Maekinnon appeared for the police, and Mr. Ciendo:i for the accused.
