. * . PROPERTY SALE. There was a large attendance at Richard Arthur and Co.'s auction rooms this afternoon, whun several suburban properties were submitted. There was spirited bidding, and live out of six lots offered were sold, being the whole of the lteiuue.ru sections. Lot 1, with a 60ft frontage to Sea View-road, sold for £t> 2/6 a foot; lot 2, with a Otift frontage to the same road, £tj 2/0 a foot; lot 3, with 100 ft frontage to Brighton-road, £4 2/6 a foot; lot 4, with 73ft frontage to Brighton-road, £v a foot; lot 5, a corner section, with ItoOft and 25Bft frontages to Brighton and Sea View roads respectively, and having a dwelling of ten rooms thereon, realised £1300. Two building sites in Norfolk-street, Ponsonby, were passed in at £140 each. A house in K.ara-ugahape-road was sold for rtaaoval for £31. The Ingleside Estate, Devonport, was put up for sale by auction by Messrs Smith and •Haicom-be on the ground on Saturday afternoon last. There were 1!) building sites offered, and the bidding was fair, but in iuauy cases failed to reach the ■reserve. The following sections were sold: No. 1, with 73ft frontage. to T-alnui-road and 121 ft to Vauxhall-road, £0 15/ per foot; No. 7, with 00ft frontage to Tniuul-road, £5 per foot; •No. S), 51ft frontage to Tainui-road, £5 2/0 per foot; No. 12, with 52ft frontage to Tal-nui-roud, £5 5/ per foot; No. 15, with 72ft frontage to Vauxhall-road, £6 10/; No. 10, with 54ft frontage to same road, £6 5/ per foot The residence of 14 rooms, on si section lOSft by 177 ft, was passed in at £2000. Beef.—-The market is dull, and the stock on hand is heavy. New Zealand hindquarters 3id, fores 2Jd. Butter.—There has been no alteration in the market since last week. New Zealand, IOD/; Danish, 115/. N.Z. butter is in very limited supply. Supplies from the Coutinent are increasing. Cheese.—The market is quiet, but Arm, with belter demand. N.Z. white 50/6, coloured 54/0. Hemp.—The market is very depressed, and is dependent on Manila reports. New Zealand good to fair on spot £24, fair grade £22; fair current Man'Ju, £21 10/; forward shipment of New Zealand good to fair £24, fair grade £21 10/; fair current Manila. £21 ID/. The output from Manila for the week was 2G,00u bales. Cocksfoot Seed.—The market Is quiet. The average price for bright clean New Zealand seed, weighing 17 per bushel on spot, is 06/. Wheat.—The market is sßghtly firmer Oats. —The market is duU, and supplies are large. Beans. —The market is rather more active, but supplies are increasing.
