There was much desultory forward play, Bros, having somewhat the best of it. The teams then turned round for the final quarter. Bros, kicked off, but Parnell forwards were soon on the attack, and a penalty let them down to the Bros.' 25, and a score was narrowly averted, Bros, forcing. The blues got ahead of the ball at the kick-off, and a scrum was formed on the 25. Fast following up by Bros.' forwards tra-nsferred piay beyond the half. Hardwicke put in a serviceable run, and the pack carried play on to the line. Prom a scrum under the posts Bros, cleared, hut Hardwicke sent play back again, kicking across. White forced. After indecisive play, Bros.' forwards charged to the opposing line, but failed to score, and carrying the line play, Parnell had their opponents on the defensive.
