Regarding operations in the Waihi Grand Junction mine, the total cost oi production (including mining, milling, and general expenses) for the first half of the year 1910 amounted to KI/2 per ton, as against £1 6/10 for 1909, showing a reduction of 7/8 -per ton. In addition to this, it may be mentioned that the loss in tailings .from the beginning of the year to date has been reduced by 1/7 per ton. . |. WAIHI, this day.. j Over 34ft. of nice-looking ore have I now been exposed in the face of the Royal ; lode going east 1390 ft, proving that the j lode is rapidly improving as it carries I down. MOUNT WELCOME The Manager telegraphed yesterday afternoon: " About 201bs. of picked stone from No. 2 Blotches showing." j MAY QUEEN EXTENDED. ( The manager telegraphed thsi morning: I " Reef in the winze three feet wide, J highly mineralised and showing strong dabs of gold." CBOWN ROYAL. The manager telegraphed this morning: "When shooting down the .reef in the face of the cliff, colours of gold were I seen."
