The election of offices resulted: Patron, Lord Islington; presitai! Mr F. B. Watson, Palmereton North; iS president, Mr A. H. Halcombe, Oreojf. councillors (three vacancies), Messrs J £ McCrea, A. Buchanan and S. R. Lancaster Palmerston North; auditors, Messrs Rather! ford and Connell. Mr Griffiths moved, "That no imports* animal be entered in the New Zealand Jersey Herd Book unless the application be supported by authenticated pedigree, ga&ta export certificate signed by the vendor fijj the Jersey breed society of the conntryftom which the animal is shipped." TUa seconded by Mr Corrigan, and earned. Various resolutions were" adopted for put fying the herd book and gistration of unworthy animals. Last night visiting members: tamed by local Jersey men at 'a emote concert. - ..':"
