DELUDE OF RAIN.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISrCHURCH, this day. The "Star's" Kaikoura correspondent telegraphs that the rainfall for Juiv to date exceeds 12 inches. It is still raining, and ah the nvers are i n flood, and the road* are for. the. most part impassable. There'is a big slip on the road to, Cheviot. The rain is the heaviest ever experienced in the district.
