MOKOHINAU LIGHT.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —A paragraph appeared in your Saturday's issue, by two of our sea captains on the coast of New Zealand, with reference to Mokphinau lighthouse, in opposition to their opinions I venture to say that the Mokohinau light should never have been placed where it is at present. It should have been put on the easternmost Little Hen. I -pointed out to the Minister of Marine, whtn'Cape Brett was mentioned, that the right place to put it vrae on the Caballes Islands, and erect a small coasting light on Cape Brett. This, with a light on the North Cape, would meet all, requirements for the coming trade to Auckland^—l. am, He, . -■ ; ■ • '-"" ' • ' ' EX-SKIPP.EB. I
