The headmaster of the Waihi District High School reported that the roll number in the primary department was 600, and that of the secondary depart- - ment 35. A farewell smoke concert to Mr James Callaghan, who has sold his farm, and Is leaving the district, was held In 'the Tuakau Hotel on Friday evening. J3ongs were rendered by Messrs Fulton,.
