A SAVAGE CONFLICT. THREE GENDARMES STABBED. ;-• --V. ft "% PARIS, July 0. Forty members of an organised band of Apaches, while avenging the execution of their leader Liabuef, encountered eight police, and in the affray which ensued three of the latter were stabbed. Six of the Apaches were arrested. Lepine, the chief of police, since Liabeuf was guillotined, received many letters threatening his life.
