ATLANTIC ISLANDS.
PROPOSED SALE TO AMERICA. LISBON, June 11. Senor Abrue, owner of the Canto Islands, a small group near the Azores, in the North Atlantic, is seeking the permission of the Portuguese Government to sell the islands to the United States. The group, it is considered, would be an excellent site for an American, coaling station, but some of the European Powers are said to be opposed to the' sale. The Portuguese Parliament has the subject under consideration.
