DANISH BANK FRAUDS.
EX-PREMIER ACQUITTED. A MINISTER FINED. COPENHAGEN, June 18. The trial has concluded of M. Christensen, ex-Premier of Denmark, and M. Berg, ex-Minister for the Interior, for their connection with the frauds by which 3VL Alberti, who was Minister for Justice, embezzled over £800,000 from the Zealand Peasants' Bank, of which he was director. Christensen was acquitted, but the Court strongly disapproved of his conduct while in office. Berg was fined £55, or 60 days' imprisonment, for not investigating the frauds when suspicion was first aroused.
