NEW SYLVIA. A SATISFACTORY RETURN. The return from 120 tons of ore from the New Sylvia mine sent to Sydney for treatment was £989 19/5. BREMNER'S FREEHOLD. A further haul of 421bs. of picked etone is reported by the manager of Bremner'e Freehold at Ooromandel. THAMES DEEP LEVELS. After manifold delays, tenders have at length been called for driving the crosscut at 1000 ft from the bottom of the Queen of Beauty shaft, Thames, to underneath the Kuranui-Caledonian shaft. The tender is for one contract for the whole tunnel and subsidiary crosscuts. The advertisement appears in this issue. OLD ALBURNIA. The ca-pital of the Old Allmrnia Company being about exhausted, shareholders have received a circular calling upon them, to attend an extraordinary meeting next week for the purpose of considering a proposal by the directors to reconstruct with a capital of £8,000 in 160,000 shares of one shilling each. Present shareholders are entitled to share for share in the new Company.
