Robins. AN APPEAL UPHELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union Tansey'protesting against his suspension by the Otago Union for six playing Saturdays for striking an opponent. The grounds of the protest are that the Otago Union had no jurisdiction to denl with the appellant, as he had not been reported, and also that, assuming that the union had no jurisdiction, the sentence was excessive. It was decided to uphold the appeal on the ground that the union had no jurisdiction, the player not having been reported. ASSOPIATIOW.
