RELIGION IN SPAIN.
RIGHTS OF PROTESTANTS. MADRID, June 16. The Cortes (Parliament) opened today,- no anarchist disturbances taking place. Kincr Alfonso, in Ms speech from the Throne, expressed sentiments of filial consideration for the Pope, and referred to the excessive multiplication of religious orders. He declared that the Government would try to regularise the rights of associations without attacking their spiritual independence.
