I the face is again in cpiartz of good grade, thus indicating that the rim of valnes which has now heen followed over 400 ft. from the son-tli-easr crosscut; is going to lire further east. In a crosscut from .the north wall of the Martha reef, going east at this level, a fresh mate of ore has been met with, and from its appearance the wnole of the quartz showing, is of milling grade. A start has heen made-- to driv-e on it, and a full face of quartz is showing. On the Empire reef, going east, there are also indications of improvement, and in the stopes west on this renf, ore for the mill is being broken out over a width of upwards of 20 feet.
