The Rev. Fa-ther Gilm-artin (of the iJedemptorist Order) left for the South by the Rarawa yesterday.

Mr. T. S. Clibbarn, for 37 years secretary of the Australian Jockey Club, has resigned owing to ill-health.

Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Duncan, of Nelson, are at present on a visit to Auckland, staring at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. W. D. Van Liew, an American visitor, arrived from the South yesterday, aud is staying an the Grand Hotel.

Dr. and Mrs. J. ,W. Williams, of Gisborne, arrived by the Monowai yesterday, and are leaving by the Maheno for Sydney.

Mr. Philip Cantor, of Perth, W.A., who has been on a visit to New Zealand, will leave by the Maheno on his return to Australia.

Mr. Alfred Kidd, who has been confined to his bed for the past four weeks, is slowly recovering, but is still unable to leave the house.

Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Blennerhassett, of Wanganui, leave Wellington on the 36th inst. by the Corinthic for a trip to England and the Continent.
