It was stated at an inquest at Crewe (Eng.) that a child named Violet Capper (5), who died from burns, had been pushed into the fire by her younger brother, who is only two year 3 old. The mother said the boy had a very nasty temper, and since the accident had attempted to push one of the other children into the fire. The Coroner said it seemed almost incredible. The child was too young to be charged criminally. The jury, returned a verdict that the girl's death was from exhaustion due to burns caused by 'being pushed on to the fire by her younger brother^ With the approach of the rainy season gentlemen should be prepared with overcoats and macintoshes.
