A CAPTAIN'S FALL.
STOLEN JEWELLEUY. (Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, April 28. Captain James Henry Edward Holford, Et.S.O., pleaded guilty to a charge of having obtained tiaras and necklaces of diamonds, valued at several thousands of pounds, from various jewellers, and with having pawned them. Captain Holford is the eldest son of Mr Thomas Holford, of Castle Hill, Dorchester, and was born in 1573. He entered the 7th Hussars in 1894, and obtained bis captaincy in 1900- He served in Rhodesia in 1896, and on the staff in Ashanti in 1900. He was mentioned in dispatches twice, and won the Distinguished Service Order. In 1901 he married the Hon. Blanche Grosvenor, daughter of Baron Stalbridge.
