DRUNKEN WOMAN'S FRENZIED DEED.
I MELBOURNE, April 17. Nellip Lee Wong Sow. a young Euroipean woman, who was married to a Chinese four years sgo. died in thp Mplbourne Hospital from severe burn--. The •woman was in the house with her husband, a Chinese eabinetmaJcer, late on Monday night, jn an intoxicated) condition, and threatened to commit suicide. ." When her hnste_nd remonstrated with her for drinkiDg heavily, sh* seized a can containing kerosene and poured it over her drees. Wong Sow seized her and called for assistance. Rose Lacey. a neighbour, la"ter went into the house, and endeavoured to calm the woman. (Who -was in a, highly excited state. Rose 'iLacey induced her to lie down and rest lire. Wong Sow asked for and was supplied with a cigarette. She obtained possession of a match after the neighbour *leffc the house,, and, while pretendimr io 'light the cigarette, she applied the match to the kerosene on her clothes. Immediately she -was enveloped in flames, and was severely burned before they were extinguished.
